Sheba shows us how to cook Basmati rice in just 5 minutes in a very easy and in a simple way. Firstly a pressure cooker is taken and add 2 tablespoons of olive oil(whichever is applicable) and turn on the heat. Then add a pinch of cumin seeds and wait for the oil to eat up which will take a couple of minutes and then add the 1 1/2 cup of basmati rice which was soaked in water for about an hour. And then add 2 cups of water which is sufficient for 1 1/2 cup of rice or you can measure it using a wooden spoon dipped in the cooker to know how much amount of water you need. Then close the pressure cooker and wait for the pressure to build. And as soon as the pressure builds we need to turn off the heat and the rice is going to cook by itself. Do not open the pressure instead let it release by itself and your rice will be cooked to perfection. The build of the pressure is indicated by some whistling sound by the pressure cooker with which you need to turn off the cooker and wait for the rice to cook with steam and water. For better taste you need to add a pinch of salt to the rice before closing the pressure cooker for cooking. And also you can use chicken stock or vegetable stock instead of water. And after about five minutes your rice will be cooked and will be ready to serve.
